how long would it take to fit a new condensing boiler?
i have a small two bed detached house with a gas fired boiler in the kitchen. i want to have the boiler replaced with a condensing combi boiler and moved to a cupboard upstairs. i also want a mixer shower, radiator, bath, sink and toilet plumbed in. i have six rads in the house. is this a job that would take a plumber a day? a couple? week? please could someone give me a very rough idea on time and cost?

i got a new super condensing boiler, moved into attic, new pipes to existing radiators downstair, alter pipework as two houses were converted into one,new large hot water cylinder, two new showers, two bathroom suites plumbed in for £3200.i supplied bathroom suites they supplied everything else.their was six of them and it took two days over a weekend(homer)job was perfect.
Depends on what your requirements are, the combi depends on amount of water used, the bathroom depends on supply and install or labour only, labour only on bathroom would be anywhere between £450 and £650 without tiling or moving things round. If you get a boiler that is good for say a family of 4, with dual heating and hot water control (important for efficiency and safety) with a five years manufacturers guarantee (Worcester Bosch 30si), and the system is cleaned properly, £2600. Forget cheap if you want quality. Allow a week for 2 fitters and 1 apprentice. Don’t put the boiler in the attic, and don’t use anybody who says they can install a boiler in 1 day, it should take 4 – 6 hours to clean the system properly.
at HND we price our jobs accordingly to the customers requirements we dont preach on about one brand and we will only fit what we have sampled if your on a budget for a good condensing boiler try gloworm its owned by vaillant and have most of there components.
price you really need to find some engineers and invite them round to quote for you just confirm with them on the phone that they won’t charge for an estimate.
they will also be able to tell you how long it will take
get a total for the whole job as it normally works out cheaper that way providing you have it all done at the same time make sure they are corgi registered.
All boilers come with a warranty all worcesters come with 2 years. unless fitted by a W.A.I then they can give 5……
after the warranty expires you can have contracts set up by manufacturer for a very good price at glow worm ideal and of course worcester.
check ravenheat they have come along way and im sure there new promotion is a very good warranty with a great hot water flow rate.
